1. Unite tells BA: Settle Dispute By Tuesday Or We Ballot
Cabin crew union Unite has told British Airways that it has until June 29th to settle the long-running dispute or face the consequence of a summer strike action ballot. If a ballot goes ahead, it will open on Tuesday and pave the way for strikes as early as the start of August.

Air India mulls a return to JFK
Air India is considering the resumption of its Heathrow-New York route, which it axed in 2008 after 50 years. The airline is reviewing a return to the JFK service ahead of joining the Star Alliance, which is due to happen in the first quarter of 2011. The carrier now has new Boeing 777 aircraft and believes it has a better product to offer.

Continental Extends Flatbed Availability
Continental Airlines now offers flatbed seats in business class on all six daily departures from Heathrow To New York Newark and Houston. The carrier will introduce a fifth daily service to New York on October 31.

Manchester Gains Link to Singapore via Munich
Singapore Airlines will offer daily flights from Manchester to Singapore from September 1, flying via Munich. The current service operates five days, omitting Tuesday and Thursday.

Emirates goes Wild in Birmingham
Emirates are highlighting the destinations it offers from Birmingham with a range of designs on the airports monorail system. The airline flies double daily from Birmingham to Dubai and on to destinations in Africa and the Far East. Trains will be emblazoned with a Chinese ceremonial dragon or African safari animals for the next six months.
