Health Requirements For Travel To India
In view of the spread of Swine Influenza A (H1N1) all passengers travelling to India will be screened at the International Airports in India on their arrival and required to carry the declaration form (Health Card) at the immigration. This may also involve quarantine and even hospitalisation, if detected, with any symptoms connected with the flu. The Health Screening card can be printed off from the following website:-
Manchester Airport Turns Down Ryanair Expansion
Manchester airport has revealed it turned down an approach from Ryanair to run more services because it was not prepared to "prostitute" itself to the demands of the no-frills carrier. Managing Director Andrew Cornish sais Ryanair was effectively asking to fly from the airport for free, and the airport could not accept terms that would "trash the market".

Branson Lobbies Obama To Block BA/AA
Virgin Atlantic boss Sir Richard Branson has written to US president Barak Obama to urge him to reject the proposed alliance between British Airways and American Airlines. Branson wrote to Obama on the first anniversary of BA and AA's application to have anti-trust immunity to co-operate on prices and schedules and share information. He said the Obama administration's decision would be a "defining moment" in the airline industry and was a choice between siding with the consumer or backing a "virtual merger" of the two airlines.

Heathrow's New-Look Terminal Plans
Star Alliance airlines will be based under a single terminal at Heathrow under plans unveiled recently. The £1 billion new Terminal 2 will become the home for members of the alliance. Construction is taking place in two phases in a effort to minimise disruption to passengers. The first stage will see the creation of a terminal building with 185,000 sq m of floor space on the site of the existing Terminal 2 and Queen's Building. Both buildings are being demolished later this year with construction on the first phase due for completion in 2013.

BA Takes More Steps To Ease Losses
British Airways is to sell advertising space on its website and on its boarding passes for the first time to help reverse its losses. It said it had decided to make the move due to the "current economic times". The advertising space will be made available from October 1st and ads can be exclusively targeted to individual flights and specific demographic groups
