Air France "Premium Voyager"

Air France is continuing to innovate by introducing a new, private cabin on its long-haul flights, situated between the Business and Economy cabins, called Premium Voyager. This cabin will be gradually phased in on Air France's entire international long-haul network, on flights operated by Boeing 777's, Airbus A340's and A330's. The fares will become available mid May 2009.

Emirates : New lounge at Manchester

Emirates Airlines is to move its twice-daily service to Dubai from Manchester Airport to Terminal 1 from 1st June 2009. The carrier is switching terminals as it prepares the opening of its business class lounge scheduled for later this year, the move will allow the airline to introduce an Airbus A380 to the route for the first time.

Largest Ferry to sail from Dover

The largest fast ferry to operate on short sea Channel crossing routes between the UK and France is to be introduced by French company LD Lines. The new high-speed Incat 112 metre Wave-Piercing Catamaran will be introduced on the Dover-Boulogne route from May 29th. The vessel is capable of carrying 1,200 passengers and crew and up to 417 cars or a mix of cars and trucks.

Low Cost, Long Haul Carrier Goes Daily to KL

Low cast, long haul carrier Air Asia X is increasing the frequency of flights between Stansted and Kuala Lumpur. The service started last month, will rise from five flights a week to a daily frequency from July 1st.

APD Rise Will Go Ahead

The Government has ignored pleas by the Travel Industry to scrap plans for a rise in Air passenger Duty. In his Budget announced last week, the Chancellor Alistair Darling made no reference to the travel tax, which is due to increase in November and again in 2010.

Book Ryanair on-line with B.S. Executive Travel

All B.S. Executive Travel clients now have the ability to book Ryanair flights via its on-line e-Travel booking system. This gives all travellers and travel bookers the ability to consolidate their travel expenditure and end the need to use company or personal credit card to make reservations.
